The Moonlight recording came about one afternoon when I had heard that a good friend of my Grandmother had developed a heart condition and was seriously ill. They were visiting from Mexico City and were about to leave. Her husband was very frightened and so I felt inspired to record music to sooth him. As I spontaneously recorded live, I experienced a great sense of compassion and love for them both. I sent them off with a CD knowing I had given them some physical experience of love, compassion, and prayer for their well being. I hope that you enjoy the Moonlight CD as much as I enjoyed recording it. This CD is a perfect tool to have for your healing work or meditation. The recording will steadily calm the nerves and evoke a playful peaceful feeling. Joshua Singing Tree graduated from Boston University School of Fine Arts with a BA in Music History. Inspired by musicologist and composer, Bartok, Joshua began to examine Folk music and improvisational music. Soon thereafter he produced several recordings of original music compositions using flutes, guitar and voice. Soon after graduating from B.U. Joshua began to study the American Indian flute and songs with a Flute teacher named Hawk LittleJohn in North Carolina. Hawk taught Joshua to make flutes and to play some traditional chants and cultivate his own style of flute playing. Hawk was a father and friend to Joshua and asked him to pass on the traditions and knowledge about the flute to future generations. After many years of study, Joshua decided it was time to perform. Currently, he is performing concerts and composing. His music can be purchased on line at CD baby.com.
