Pianist Kayle Clements has been sitting behind a piano for over 30 years. A local favorite, Kayle has performed in countless venues including theater stages, concert halls, night clubs and everything in between. Stringing together great melodies and smart, elegant arrangements, Bright Holidays is a fresh new treatment of traditional holiday favorites. Bring and Torch, Jeanette Isabelle starts the set with a quiet, reflective tone, perfect for those cold winter nights. Silent Nights begins with the sounds of a crowded city, only to fade into a lovely cello solo followed by a sensitive piano rendition. The First Noel and The Little Drummer Boy lay out a rhythmic foundation while exposing some contemporary jazz roots. Ending the set is a wonderful original piano solo, One Quiet Morning. Based on Away in the Manger, it is a perfect way to wrap up a classic set of holiday favorites.
