How often have you heard a song and been moved by the way the lyrics relate so much to you that it seems the song was written for and about you? If you take the time to sit and listen to the music of talented singer/songwriter Kaylene Bambrick, you're likely to find yourself nodding in agreement and thinking "yeah, I've felt like that sometimes". The down to earth, hard working life of Kaylene Bambrick is reflected in the sincerity of her songs - songs of the bush, songs of love and pain, of jobs - songs of life. Songs she has written .... Music and singing has always been a part of Kaylene's life. It was a love that began in her pre-teen years when she took up accordion, piano and harmonica. In 1985, she acquired her first guitar, teaching herself the basics so she could sing and play in the station camps. To this day Kaylene learns and writes all her songs by ear, having never learnt to read or write music. With her highly anticipated new release, "The Picture", Kaylene draws on her own life experiences, from her early days spent on stations to jillarooing in the Northern Territory, from camp cook to grazier's wife. Arthur Rekow and Madonna Hodge.
