Kelly Padrick is a New York City singer/songwriter. Her latest CD, Haze, was recorded in a cozy little studio in the West Village. The songs were largely inspired by Zero 7 and two not-so-wonderful ex-boyfriends. But sometimes misery brings good things -- 'Pizza and Fairytales' is featured in the upcoming film "Trust The Man," due out the summer of 2006. The film was written and directed by Bart Freundlich and stars Julianne Moore, David Duchovny, Billy Crudup and Maggie Gyllenhaal. The film showed at the Toronto Film Festival to much acclaim. Kelly was born in Providence, RI and began writing songs at the age of five, with Dolly Parton being her main influence. Upon graduating high school, Kelly began playing the northeastern circuit of local clubs before moving to New York City. Once in New York, she began performing at open mikes and writing with different players and producers. Haze was produced by Nancy Hess, former front woman for Warner Bros. Seven Day Diary. Kelly's music is sensual and beautiful, a late night journey through loss, longing, and ultimately, hope.
