I was born and raised in Columbia, S.C. surrounded by a musical family which included my father who taught all of us "upstarts" to tarry at the piano and wait for God's anointing (and I still can't play like him); shaped by the hands of my mother: a loving, and powerful guide, held in prayer by a serious praying grandmother, the torch continues burning through brothers and sisters. This anointing still glows and grows through my children, nephews and nieces. I believe that Dad really passed on a powerful torch with flames that engulfs all. . I am blessed by my beautiful wife. She is one of my strongest supporters who incidentally, can really blow the house down with her voice. I've played with and for so many fantastic, ministering folk such as Rosemary Griffin, Dorothy Grant, Lenny Champion, The O'Neal Twins, The J.D.Williams Singers, the Walter Piper Singers, Orangeburg Gospel Choral Union,The Alumni Chorale Of The National Convention Of Gospel Choirs and Choruses,The Faith Ensemble and worked on or played on Projects of Bibleway of Atlas Road 'Great New City', Progressive Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. 'The Power of Praise' as well as produced projects of my own. But with the above mentioned folk...some who are still serving and some whose work here has ended... God has blessed me by our relationship and has made me a blessing. My 'EAGLES' who are standing on my shoulders call me their mentor, but I, the teacher, am also standing on the shoulders of those who have gone before me. My sounds cannot and would not exist if it weren't for their trail-blazing efforts. My ten-fingered orchestra can only reflect what the Chief musician has taught me. Now I'm learning from my 'EAGLES'. Everything seems to come full circle but it's glorious. It seemed to take so long but each song and every sound was carefully prepared and orchestrated by the One who gives the mockingbird matchless runs. Each song as you listen will take you higher and higher into that zone where you can relax, be yourself, find relief from the stress of the day and be rejuvenated whether through prayer or meditation. The healing of your mind and soul, and lifting will continue as you listen to track after track. One day I'll challenge that bird again and this time win. Be blessed.
