Pianist, Kerem Görsev was born in Istanbul in 1961. His musical education started at the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory in 1967, and continued at the Istanbul State Conservatory. His love for jazz began during his years at the conservatory and he has performed at the various clubs in Istanbul both with Turkish and foreign musicians. Recognized as a talented composer and pianist, Kerem Görsev has produced many different projects starting with his first album, "Hands and Lips" in 1995. Since his first album, he has recorded total of 12 albums. Out of those albums, ten of them feature the artists original compositions. 'November in St.Petersburg' was a special project that was recorded with St.Petersburg Academic Philharmonic Orchestra in St. Petesburg in 1999. The album consists of Kerem Görsev's compositions. In 2008, Kerem Görsev performed at the 'Wiener Kafeesiederball' in Vienna on Feb 1st, 2008 as a jazz sextet, Kerem Görsev & Istanbul Jazz Band, followed by Lefke University Concert in Cyprus. In July 2008, the artist has performed at the 36th Pescara Jazz Festival and 35th Umbria Jazz Festivals as Kerem Görsev Trio . He has performed at 18th Akbank Jazz Festival in October 2008 with his newly formed trio, Kagan Yildiz at the bass and Ferit Odman at the drums. Finally, Kerem Görsev performed his own project, 'November in St.Petersburg' with the St.Petersburg Philarmonic Orchestra on December 22nd,2008 in St.Peterburg. Kerem Görsev finished the recordings of his latest project 'Diversion' in 2008. This album is a trio album and features eight new compositions. "Diversion" is released in January, 2009.
