In 2000 Klarcnova moved to Asheville, NC, to test out a different musical environment. They immediately began playing at local clubs such as Asheville Music Zone, Stella Blue, and Barley's. In 2002 Scott Glenn left the band, and was replaced by Robin Tolleson, a beatmaker for numerous bands on east and west coasts including Big Block Dodge, Hip Bones, and Gregory James. Around the same time, Andy and Robin formed a trio with singer Molly Kummerle called Ruby Slippers, and Shayne and Robin began playing flamenco fusion with guitarist Juan Benavides in Cabo Verde. Andy has also recorded and toured extensively with the modern klezmer group Lithuanian Empire. These different projects, although divergent in styles, lend a strong influence on Klarcnova. They opened for Col. Bruce Hampton and The Codetalkers at The Pour House in Charleston, SC, Dr. Didge at Stella Blue, entertained at the North Carolina Peace Action Awards in Raleigh, NC, and play anywhere they can find an audience including The Handlebar, Greenville SC; Zambra and Emerald Lounge, Asheville, NC; Stir Fry Café, Johnson City, TN; and Smokey Joe's in Charlotte, NC. Describing Klarcnova's sound, The Charleston City Paper recently said, 'Sort of like the Band of Gypsys doing a soundcheck with Scofield.' They seem to like us in Russia as well. ?? ????????!
