Brothers Nick and Marko Akrap started "League of Shadows" toward the end of '05, the reason which can hardly be described as anything but pure existential intervention from God himself. They went from a vague notion to a clear understanding of what the purpose of their music was: resurrect classic rock n' roll and create a new type of music that pays tribute to the era of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. As a whole, the album follows the time line of a mixture of what really happened and what a comic book might portray in the uncommon, interventionist occurrences and personification. "Resurrection" is classic rock n' roll portrayed as an entity close to a human being. Even though the first-person speaker tells of feelings and memories, there is an almost divine quality which adds to the spiritual, religious context of the work as a whole. It is very much on the philosophical side of writing as well because the topic demands that sort of mystery which makes it necessary to investigate the meaning in every punctuation, word, phrase, as well as the songs and compilation as a whole. Through sound and texture of writing like this, the album adds to the medieval, classically perceived notions of Catholicism and religion as a whole. This is a direct reference of not only what classic rock n' roll means to the band but also how the band talks about it. In order to clarify whether or not the rock n' roll "League of Shadows" describes is evil, the music and it's message are pure in that they inspire a multitude of people, from the most secure and mentally sound minds to youths with the lowest self-esteem. Partying for the sake of enjoying life in general and what it has to offer us as human beings; expressing praise for the enjoyment we are able to partake in not only through Classic Rock n' Roll, but all other aspects as well like friends and family, is what the music is about. What can sometimes sound like jumbled sounds simply loud and obnoxious, when put together can create some of the most memorable sounds and songs that humanity can enjoy. Classic rock n' roll resurrected and fused with modern styles, a mixture of inspirations and classical music training since the age of six, and a true passion for the music will do just that. There is definitely a reverence for the music and bands that paved the way for "League of Shadows" to embark on this spiritual journey to look for, find, and bring back through a modernized fusion, but in the song-writing and editing process did they find themselves to be that much more prepared and able to understand their story. There is certainly a high level of veneration they hold for not only the guitar but all the instruments used to play and create music for a greater cause, to give the younger generations a chance to grow up with a good, meaningful, powerful, influential and pure form of music that will actually be a hybrid which works to encompass fans of classic and modern rock.
