Loor Ambient began haunting the mind of musician Leandro Ganzero 8 years ago as he was playing guitar in the former trip hop trio 'Setu Secreto'. Playing with s.t.s gave him the freedom to experiment with an electronic medium more fully. By creating sounds and samples with digital aid the ambiently trip hopped fusion of S.S was born and in addition spawned the first ideas of Loor. Leandro had always been a fan of the ambient genre and as he became more versed in the style found himself in the midst of a creation of his own. Long inspired by artists such as........, although not entirely fitting in the ambient realm, Leandro set out on an 8 year journey into his own personal expression of the music he was so naturally drawn to. As well as being a source of great inspiration, Leandro felt an immense appreciation for all ambient music and although he was focused on S.S. at the time, the beginnings of Loor were floating languidly throughout his mind. Taking on a ghostly form, Loor was soon to be realized After the breakup of S.t.S. Leandro finally began to pour all of his efforts into the solo project he had been contemplating. The project is a kind of "hats off" tribute to all ambient music yet also more of a personal experimentation with the fleeting rules of music and laws of structure. Loor has allowed Leandro to defy them all and says f*** you to traditionally timed melodies and brings light to the true meaning of music: personal expression... thoughts, feelings...that, which cannot be governed, metered or timed. Although Loor holds no lyrics the inspiration came from writers such as......., poets and musicians alike. Since Loor's fruition in 2005 Leandro has set out again to create something entirely different from the mainstream music of today's tragically pop generation. Leandro is now working on a project in which he will begin to experiment with a more organic form of music. By incorporating the talents of other musicians with his own, unlike Loor which was created by Leandro alone, his newest feat has begun which will no doubt bring us to places that have yet to be explored.
