This is Loretta's 2nd release, the first being 'Deeper Than Indigo' also available on cdbaby.com. Where her first album was more funky/sassy/bluesy a la Bonnie Raitt, 'Intimate Portrait' is an all-acoustic, softer and more personal introspection about love, with one exception ending the list with the folklore of the Southwest deity 'Kokopelli.' Her last CD was received exceptionally well by radio in the U.S., Europe & Australia. This one promises to be even more successful with it's torchy vocals, especially among jazz fans of the 40's and 50's era.
