Mantra Missile is music for everyone, but stylistically rigged for fans of the likes of Dispatch, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, etc. Essentially two guys who have been making music together all through high school, Mantra Missile writes original songs and covers music by the above mentioned and many others. Mantra Missile consists of Eddie Williams and Aaron Cote from Concord, NC (soon to be residing at Clemson U. and UNC-Charlotte, respectively), both of whom sing, play, and write. Eddie has been a meritorious guitarist since he started at the end of 6th grade, and has been a performing vocalist since second grade. Along the way he has taught himself harmonica, drums, ukulele, sitar-guitar, and piano. Aaron is a self-taught musician and is experienced in guitar, drums, and piano, and vocals. Vocal harmony is an integral element in the music. In performance and recording, backup percussion is often added by local musicians. Mantra Missile has collaborated with regional musicians from the Charlotte and Durham areas, not to mention renound tap dancer Elena Steponaitis, Oliver 'Capo' Cronembold, a Bolivian rapper who resides in Sweden, and Mumia Abu-Jamal, a black journalist wrongfully turned inmate on deathrow in Pennsylvania. Mantra Missile is honestly in it for the love of the music, but if they were to spread like wildfire throughout your school/city/country by means of you buying the CD and sharing the music with friends, that would be stellar. Check out some audio clips to the left, and if you like them, buy a CD and help out a couple guys. Thanks!
