Marcie and Laura have been singing together since they could talk. They were particularly inspired by the harmonies of their parents who often sang old time popular tunes from the early decades of the 20th century. Whenever they are together singing in close harmony is shear enjoyment. On Two Sisters they have put together their sister harmonies with a fabulous band. Walt Micheal, on autoharp, guitar and banjo has a wide repertoire from old-time southern Appalachian to Celtic and original compositions. Tom Wetmore plays acoustic bass in a wide variety of styles. Barry Mitterhoff is one of the foremost mandolin musicians in the country today and is involved with a variety of ensembles including Hazel Dickens and Jorma Kaukonen's Hot Tuna. Dave Giegerich, on Dobro and lap steel guitar is a nationally know performer and has received numerous awards. This upbeat recording is a pleasure to listen and sing along to.
