Marco Pezzola started his musical education with drums and soon afterwards piano. In 1990 he graduated in piano at the musical academy 'F. Morlacchi' in Perugia (Italy). While studying classical music, he also dedicated himself both to pop and jazz music attending the academy 'CENTRO PROFESSIONE MUSICA (C.P.M.)' in Milan (Italy) where besides piano, he also studied arrangement and composition. He attended various masters held by: Franco D'Andrea, Celso Valli, Lyle Mays, Gary Burton, Kenny Kirkland and Joe Zawinul. He also attended the BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC masters at Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia and the FILM MUSIC master class at 'CHIGIANA ACADEMY' (Siena) held by Ennio Morricone. He studied orchestral conduction with M° Giampiero Taverna. Fond of computers and synthesizers he spent lot of time studying these instruments becoming an expert. In 1991 he held two masters about these subjects at the 'FACULTADE DE ARTES MUSICAIS' in Sao Paulo University (Brazil). In Brazil, at Rio de Janeiro, he played in different sessions with famous musicians. At the moment he teaches and make concerts with diverse bands and jazz orchestras. As composer he wrote pop music and music for theatre, he also recently composed music for film and new-age music. He works in studios and live with Italian musicians and popstars as an appreciated session man. This CD is produced by Maurizio 'Bozorius' Bozzi for Drycastle records.
