Mark S. Wright was born to Bishop Eddie and Susan Wright on January 6th, 1980. Being the 2nd child out of five, he grew up in the church under a strict background. He began utilizing his gift from God (Ministry of Music) without any formal musical training. After surpassing the current traditions of Gospel Music, Mark\'s parents saw the need to invest in his musical career and encouraged Mark to ascertain a formal education in the area of music to help perfect his gift for the body of Christ. (Heeding to the wisdom of his parents,) Mark trained three years vocally with the Music School of Baroque. It was at this time that he started learning the intricate details of skilful vocal performance. In addition to the Music School of Baroque, he also engaged in four years of piano and vocal training at Carl Schurz High School. After extensive preparation, Mr. Wright began employment with True Temple of the Apostolic Faith Church under the leadership of Elder. Craig Ousley. This foundation helped to introduce Mr. Wright to the gospel music circuit, and he later achieved the position as Minister of Music at Greater St. John Holiness Church. As Minister of Music, Mark went on to organized and direct the musical accompaniment staff, train and teach the choir (children and adults), and ensure a professional music production for all services. This position helped Mark to expand and branch out into new areas of musical opportunity. Currently, Mr. Wright serves on the musical staff at Mars Hill M.B. Church under the direction of Wanda Michelle Wright, where he instructs the choir and praise team, writes songs, and provides musical accompaniment. As an instructor, Mark successfully works with a diverse music staff and choir. He is known for pushing vocalists past their comfort zone in an effort to take them to new levels. To some this might be challenging, but it\'s Mark\'s passion. Known as a perfectionist, Mark tirelessly works towards the perfection of aspiring vocalists and musician in addition to his work as a whole. Due to his phenomenal gift Mr. Wright is also a frequently sought after Songwriter & Instructor across the city of Chicago and abroad. Mark has the ability to mold singers, ensembles, and choirs into great artists. Aside from his ensemble Remnant of Worship, Mr. Wright works with other churches, individual vocalists, and community groups to help improve their vocal abilities and stage presence. He has played for and shared the stage with some of Gospel\'s finest such as Kirk Franklin , Karen Clark-Sheard, Donald Lawrence, Men of Standard, Deitrick Haddon, Angie Spivey and The Voices of Victory, Judah Outreach, and many more. As a teacher, Mark also has the gift to hear and respond to the needs of people through his music. His songs of worship & spirit filled lyrics and music have touched countless lives. Several artists including: Donald Woods and His People "I Love the Name Jesus" and Committed 2 Christ "Send Me I\'ll Go", can be heard echoing the melodious sounds of Mr. Wright\'s music. Because of Mark\'s desire to help produce new & uprising talent and give them a voice in the gospel industry, Mark organized Wright Tones Productions in June 2004. Wright Tones Productions was established to give new gospel artists a platform to showcase their gifts. Under this production company, he has already gained four artists, who are in the process of recording gospel music to reach an unorthodox crowd of people for Jesus Christ. Through his faithfulness and dedication, Mark is not only grooming artists, he is changing lives! When you think of Praise and Worship, you will remember the name Mark S. Wright. His personal testimony is best expressed in a self-written song entitled, \'Send Me, I\'ll Go!\' (Psalms 37:23) \'The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delighted in his way\'. As the Lord intended, Mark is using his gifts to glorify God and edify the Body of Christ. In his own words, Mr. Wright says \'The musician and song writer within me loves to share my gift and talent that God has given me with people from all areas of the world. I believe God has given me the assignment of sharing the good news through music, encouraging the torn-down, and letting them know He is the only way...\' It\'s our hope and prayer that this project minister\'s to you as it has ministered to others.
