This collection of feelings set to music is YETI - It is based upon a Japanese folk story called Ghost of snow woman. (Yuki Onna) The mountain of Asia ring with the sounds of this mysterious feeling. And I tried to capture that feeling as others try to capture Yeti. In correlation with Jacob Clark on piano on 1031 (Part of Funeral March by Chopin), Special guest Guitar Phillip Henry on track 1~4 and 1030. Phillip's guitar playing found a sense of the Himalayan mountains, a fabric of sound as haunting as the yeti itself. Engineer : Jay Hall ************** Las Vegas Revew Journal 12-4-08 ***** Mapping the expansive terrain between Pink Floyd and Frederic Chopin, keyboardist/gearhead Maya Ghost delivers an album as haunting as her surname. Her playing is akin to the goo in a lava lamp, always taking on new shapes from one minute to the next. A free-range pastiche of spectral synth, touches of Far Eastern strings and flutes, dissonant jags of guitar and throbbing percussion, 'Yeti' is equally meditative and jarring, the kind of head trip that requires a fastened seat belt.
