Half a year after releasing their last mini-album "888", Mega8Ball is back with "921". Continuing where "888" left-off, these 3 new tracks are inspirationally loaded with a variety of musical styles, further cementing Mega8Ball's "game-changer" moniker. Some have called Mega8Ball a multi-layered cake... with a spongey Social Distortion base, split with a creamy layer of Sublime, another layer of crunchy Rage Against the Machine, covered in a luscious, thick slathering of rock-n-roll love! Others thought that was too long and just call them by their name, Mega8Ball! "921", starts with "In Your Bloodline", inspiration in the form of a swift kick in the ass. Again, extremely rare for Japan, a song that has nothing to do with love, and forces the listener to think (if you buy the CD you get the lyrics!)! Listen to this song on the morning of the day you go into work and quick your job... you will be properly pumped! Next up is "Groove". A 180 degrees from the other two tracks on "921", Mega8Ball almost rubs your nose in their musical Swiss Army knifery. Opening with a saxophone and leader Rikiji's signature bass guitar, then bridging the song with a melodically infectious violin, "Groove" is just that! Try to keep up! This song will have you playing air violin and make even the agoraphobic want to visit to Japan! Great party song! Finishing up the mini-album is "Free born", a dark, driving, life lesson. This is another powerful Mega8Ball song, and it keeps you moving... mentally, rhymically, spiritually, it builds. Making a movie with a power/fight/driving montage, here is your song. Available now in physical CD form, these songs will also be available on iTunes and other digital download services in the near future. But, when you buy the CD, you get the lyrics, band/staff names, and best of all, you violinists can finally prove to your friends that violin IS cool! You won't be sorry (you know, if you buy it!)!
