Mercyseat blows audiences away by their rapid development and skill. This Naperville Illinois-based Indie Rock band grew swiftly from a hobby to an art. They started out as a group of guys who hung out, wrote songs and collaborated musical ability, only to realize they were actually good and knew what they were doing. After grocery store conversations and practice band members were created and molded into what is now known as Mercyseat. From the beginning, Josiah and Jake Sault have been striving for the bands' development and success. Jake started out as the guitarist and has expanded his career into the lead vocalist and songwriter. Now Jake woos the crowds with his poignant voice and stage presence. Right behind Jake stands, or usually rocks, Josiah on bass. Not only does Josiah play a mean slap bass, he also spins out the bands' lyrics and astonishes even his own band members with his improvisational skills. The Saults found the two non-family members of the band as rare jewels amongst the crowds of Naperville. Lead guitarist, Nick DeCaluwe blew them away upon their first encounter and still amazes them every time he picks up his guitar. Mercyseat's' drummer, Evan Trindl, gets the most grief from the guys, being the youngest of them with the longest hair. But as soon as he sits behind his imposing drum set and picks up his drumsticks, they know to stand back, shut up, and be thunderstruck. In addition to just rendering each other speechless, Mercyseat has moved out of their practice room into clubs and schools over the Chicago-land area.
