Meredith Mauldin was born and raised in Dallas, TX and began singing professionally in 1997 as the lead singer of a sixteen piece jazz/swing orchestra. She played with multiple groups and even recorded a jazz album with Grammy award winning bassist Lynn Seaton. Meredith has also done voices for National cartoons (Cartoon Network, HBO) and has been in multiple national commercials, industrials, and films. After an emotional and challenging journey doing mission work in the Middle East, Meredith has now written a passionate and moving solo album that reflects joy from the darkest parts of one's soul. With a wide range of styles and emotions, "Releasing Angels" takes you on an intimate journey that few dare to go. "Releasing Angels" was written because of a powerful vision that was received by Meredith's husband, Michael, when they were living in Israel. God allowed Michael to catch a glimpse of what happens in the heavens when we sing and worship the Lord. The magnitude of this vision had such an impact on Michael that it has set their course for the last year and a half and possibly for the rest of their lives. The song "Release the Angels" comes directly from Michael's vision. This album is a mosaic of musical genres with influences from jazz, pop, rock, and even the middle east. It truly will take you on a journey.
