Michael Fix's entertaining and amazing fretboard wizardry has seen him earn a place amongst the world's top players, regularly touring Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia. His newest release (his ninth album) "ClassicFix" which presents Michael's unique take on famous orchestral classical chartbusters. "Some of these tunes I remember from my childhood, some I started learning as a teenager (primarily as fi nger exercises) and later on, in the 1980s, they featured heavily in my life as I performed them regularly as a member of the Sydney band Hat Trick. Everywhere we played, audiences responded with wild enthusiasm to our "rocked up" versions of the classics. So, when I began to develop a career as a solo performer, it seemed natural to slip a few of the "tried and tested" classics into my set. Not surprisingly, the audience response was just as enthusiastic. From my earliest days of performing the 'William Tell Overture', I've had requests to record my versions of the classics.
