After relocating from Wisconsin to California, Gellings began work on his second solo recording, 'Anisoptera' that was to be a tribute album dedicated to the life of Daniel Marvin Chambers ('82-07). Once again Gellings wrote, performed, recorded, engineered, mixed, mastered, and produced by himself. As a result of his musical versatility, Gellings played every instrument on all 10 tracks including the introduction of acoustic slide guitar. He again multi-tracked drums, bass, organ, guitars, harmonica, tin whistle, and often thick layered harmony vocals that carry the mournful, dedicatory lyrics.
