Product Notes

Wright has been playing music since she was a child. She began crafting her own songs in her late teens, when faced with being a single parent to her only child, Tori. Songwriting became an outlet for emotional turmoil. To date, she has written dozens of songs and has recently released a CD: Broken As I Am, dedicated to the memory of her 16-year-old daughter, who was killed by a wrong-way driver in July of 2004. In her search for solace, Wright found that grief and bereavement material was sorely lacking in providing music to those who had lost loved ones. Feeling that music is the greatest healer, she composed and compiled 10 songs on the CD that spoke directly of her loss and to others who grieve. 'I wanted to possibly share these songs with other parents in hopes that their faith would be strengthened through the message in the songs and the album overall.' Wright said. 'Without my faith and my music, I would not survive losing Tori.' Broken As I Am was produced by Robin Ruddy of Best Built Songs and recorded at The Parlor Studio, Nashville, TN.
