Product Notes

After mastering the sounds of gunshots and majoring in the field of military noise production, Anything Goes Records first recording artist Militant A.K.A Big Gunz brings a sense of substance, spirituality and sexuality in his music. Coming straight from the dangerous streets of New Orleans, 7th Ward, St. Bernard Projects, Militant comes with a style all of his own. He brings a conscious message about life in New Orleans pre and post Hurricane Katrina. Militant embodies that no-nonsense Public Enemy flavor with his highly controversial lyrics, with his Louisiana twang and hardcore delivery, Militant makes thugs relate and ladies heart palpitate. Randy "Militant AKA Big Gunz" Watson, began rapping and writing rhymes in 2000 and with his entrepreneurial spirit he decided to start his own record label Anything Goes Records later that year. Since then, Militant has released two underground albums "Trouble Times" and "Sinful Days." He also took his talent a bit further and began producing for local artists such as, Big Toe, Shonda, C-Boy, 2 Face, George Hill and Lil' Psycho. With his mainstream debut album "Catastrophic," Militant tackles very taboo subjects. Mainly he focuses on the mistreatment of the Hurricane Katrina victims by the US government. With songs like "Rep (504)," "Walk With It," and 'Expose" he brings the hurt and pain to the forefront of those who suffered and are still suffering after the storm. Although, the album has a political tone, it also has a lighter side with club hits "Holla atcha' Boy," and "Put That Thing Down." Militant is a hopeless romantic and shows his love and sensuality for the ladies with "Ride It." Militant has showcased his talent in and around the New Orleans and Metro Atlanta area. His goal is to bring about social awareness by using his musical gifts to reach the masses.
