Few words from me. I have been composing music since I was 11 years old. Sometimes when I'm working on a song and I'm just about done a scary thought comes to mind 'what is next?" It's almost as if there would be no more ideas left for new material, but the truth is that it's endless. The ideas come from thought through concepts to most spontaneous ones - as an example the inspiration for track 'clubbers paradise' on this album came from my 3 month old son's crying. This album is my pride and joy as it is my first solo album. Two years on and off in the studio to bring it all together. I create music that brings pleasure to my ears when I listen to it and by doing so I am really creating from the heart. Thankfully music times have changed for the better, where producers/artists can create music that they believe in and it comes from them. The audience can decide what they want to listen to and not be influenced by media's choice of music as it always was. I chose the title "Rebirth" because I am reborn in the music spectrum by creating a solo album. This album gave me the opportunity to truly express myself as an artist in the electronic genre, where my interest in music really begun. It is always great to collaborate with other artists, but it is not one hundred percent you. With this album I want my listeners to hear my vision and enter my world. Thanks To my wife Sylvia I just want to say 'a little' It is great and amazing to have you by my side and thank you for giving us such an amazing son, love you. To my parents thanks for always believing in me and in my crazy ideas, love you. Thank you to my in-laws. And to my friends that stuck and believed. To all my fans and d.j.'s you make artists happen, so never ending thanks. Track 'Far Away' is dedicated to my friend Dariusz Kwiatkowski who lost his life to cancer. BIO Mkay (Maciej Kaniewski) was born on the 18th of September 1975 in Lodz, Poland. Growing up he quickly became interested in music and began dedicating countless hours to learning and perfecting it's production. He has plenty of accomplishments and masterpieces for which he is recognized. In the past, he has contributed significantly as producer and writer with Magik Brothers, as well as collaborated with other artists including, but not limited to, Shawn Desman, Gloria Gaynor and DMX to create amazing remixes of top-chart songs. Over the years, Mkay has also portrayed his talent in multiple solo works which continues to drive his passion for creating music today. At a young age of 11 years old, Mkay began exploring his musical talents. He was greatly inspired by other artist like Jean Michael Jarre, Oldfied and Vangelis, just to name a few; there were many. With strong family and friend support, along with Mkay never-failing confidence, he was ready to set out on a journey to follow his dream. Throughout the 1990s, alongside a fellow producer, Danny Mazor, he put his skills to the test and successfully co-wrote and co-produced "Two Hearts", a project that later became known as Dreamscape. This project allowed Mkay to develop cutting-edge skills in electronic music and it's production. In 1998, Mkay and a colleague, Ared Arzumanian, worked together on various studio projects that led them to form a partnership and became known as the "Magik Brothers". Under Magik Brothers, Mkay has completed numerous projects in Canada and around the world, working with artists such as Unique, Freda, V.I.P., Jaade, Rhythm Reaction, Captain GQ, Paul London V.I.P. and Lana. Magik Brothers experienced great success in Canada with chart-topping songs like, "Just My Nature" (V.I.P.), and "Zodiac" (Magik Brothers). They have also teamed up and produced fascinating remixes. Mkay contribution to Magik Brothers was exceptional. His unique music abilities and song writing were essential elements that drove Magik Brothers to it's success during the late 1990s and early 2000. Success was evident with their debut hit singles "Sun" and "Zodiac" which received phenomenon response. Released under BMG Poland and later under Universal Canada, the singles climbed up the charts hitting the top 20 in Poland. Their music created a stir amongst top North American DJs and they quickly found their place on the radio and in night clubs. Their accomplishments and talent landed Magik Brothers opportunities to do remixes for such artists as Gloria Gaynor, DMX, Amarie, Nicci Gilbert and Shawn Desman's hit single "Get Ready". Mkay continues to push the boundaries of electronic music and currently completed a solo album "Rebirth" that debuted in 2009.
