Mothers and Daughters, two mothers in their 50s with their 30something daughters, weave a beautiful healing tapestry of a cappella sound from the songs of their lives - whether Balkan (Sto Mi e Milo), Classical (Salve Virgo Virginum), contemporary (Angel from Montgomery), or original (Ode to a Public Hearing, by our dear friend Sheila Hahn). This little gem of an album offers wonderful songs as well as the gorgeous blend of their voices. Individually each woman has a distinct and beautiful voice, but when harmonizing together, something more than the sum of their parts floats through the air, touching all who hear. Mothers and Daughters are: Stephanie Lusak and her daughter Eva Carpenter, and Jessie Modic and her daughter Sarah McGreevy. The album cover is a fantastic piece of art by Margarite Seinen, entitled 'Pacific Halleluiah.'
