Friends, Romans, music lovers everywhere - lend me your ears . . . we introduce to you... Motorlove. An all new, all original rock and roll band? Yes. The next biggest thing to come out of Minneapolis? Maybe. Inexperienced? No way Jose! Founded in 2005 by a former member of international recording artists the Bay City Rollers, the members of this band are no strangers to the music business, touring or performing on the big stage. "Motorlove is all about big guitars, big sound, great songs and a professional attitude" says founding member and guitarist Jason Medvec. "We are committed to putting on a show that people will remember". Motorlove's sound is inspired by some of the greatest rock acts in the history of music. Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, Kings of Leon, Lenny Kravitz, Pearl Jam, Govt. Mule are all melded together to create a unique sound all their own. "In most bands there are only one, possibly two songwriters. In Motorlove, every member contributes to the songwriting process. Everyone has ideas that help make the songs better" says founding member and bass/keyboard player Milo Shoberg. In short, Motorlove is a powerhouse rock band that you have just to see. Come on out and experience for yourself the "new kid in town" Motorlove is: Toby Kok - Vocals, Acoustic Guitars Jason Medvec - Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Vocals Milo Shoberg - Bass, Piano, Keyboards, Vocals Brian Henz - Drums and Percussion More to love from Motorlove It is a tried and true formula: big riffs, raunchy guitars and memorable hooks equals great records. Jason Medvec knew it. Toby Kok knew it. Milo Shoberg knew it. And Brian Henz knew it. And in 2006, together they began writing the songs that would become Motorlove's 2008 debut release "Another Mile" which was recorded in Minnesota and released on April 28th on their own Batcave Records label. "It's a Bluesy, Soulful, Classic rock influenced sound with modern edge" says singer Toby Kok. It melds influences from Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, Kings of Leon, Lenny Kravitz, Pearl Jam, Govt. Mule, Arc Angels into something completely original" "We all had a lot of music inside of us screaming to get out and we wanted to do something different in the studio" says Medvec. We wanted to create a recording that took the listener to a different place for each song on the disk. We took the limitations off ourselves, kept an open mind and Another Mile is the result" Most of all, Another Mile is big, both in scope and in sound. Built upon the rock solid foundation of 12 original songs and clocking in at nearly an hour, the disc has an unforgiving, in-your-face sound. The disc features songs like the opening powerhouse track "Golden", the acoustic title track "Another Mile", the laid back "Summertime", "Brother Sister" the anthem written about the Iraq war, "40 Eyed Fool" which shows the bands funkier side and "Far From the Ground" which is in both "plugged" and "unplugged" versions on the record. "These songs", says Henz "were written about our lives and the roads we all travel. It's about sharing how we see and feel about the world. It's about traveling Another Mile" This album is laced with influences from classic and southern rock, blues, folk, country and melds those influences into music that is relevant to today's music enthusiast. Another Mile has appeal for everyone, yet refuses to be categorized as anything less than a great rock and roll record. Quite simply, the time for Motorlove is right now, and there is no better place to start than with Another Mile.
