Mytvs is like every other band you know - except they don't play the same, look the same, or sound the same. They come from various musical backgrounds and exude the workingman's romantic notion of a rock band. Their live performances are packed with energy and musicianship that win over music snobs all over. This trio's sound is a combination of The Stooges' primal energy, the rhythms of The Stranglers/The Clash and the accessibility of The Police. Mytvs originally began as a four piece that formed on the streets of New York City in 2004. With a tenor saxophone playing leads, they released the Lady EP and followed it with a tour. Upon their return, they continued playing live and began production for their debut full length. During a Saturday night show as a three piece at the famous Maxwell's club in NJ, they felt that this format was perfect because it forced the band to step it up a notch. 'CHILLS' was recorded in Queens, NY and was produced and mixed by Mytvs and Rich Gaglia. It was released in November 2005 with it's opening track Gasoline as the band's centerpiece. The recording is a culmination of ilan's edgy rhythmic guitars and sarcastic lyrics. Straight and effective drumming by Mats maintains the groove throughout the album. Bassist Clint joined the group upon 'CHILLS' completion to lay down the law. Currently they are on a promotional tour in support of their debut release building followings in NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, Ohio, Washington DC and have airplay in the USA, Scandinavia, Japan, and Australia.
