Necrodancer was formed in December 2004. Our first album (Untitled) was completed in April 2005 and released in July 2005. Trying to think of the right box to place this 'product' into requires thinking inside of a box. I'm not even mentally equipped to think inside the box, and it goes against everything this project is about. I believe that creating a band prefabricated to be placed in a specific category hinders the possibilities of innovation and creativity. Breaking free from genre specificity (although a big pain in the arse when it comes to marketing) opens doors and allows room for growth and variety. Our sound is made up of an overload of percussion consisting of standard drums and pieces of metal, glass, and wood and whatever else we consider to have an interesting sound when you beat on it or smash it, bass, and vocals which are generally demonic and sometimes quite unsettling. As a band, we strive to provide an unrelenting force of raw energy and power. Our music is uncompromising with a beat that doesn't slow down to let you catch your breath. Live performances are energetic, entertaining, and really f***ing loud. We perform with zombie go-go dancers who are blood-covered vixens that love to cause mischief and incite riots. Our shows have different themes to them and we do everything we can to make sure that no two shows are alike. I have no intention of making any compromises to become radio friendly or appeal to a dumbed down mainstream audience. People tend to love us or hate us and I for one feel quite comfortable with our notoriety. I have no problem with being hated by the general public. It's only fair considering I hate almost everyone anyway.
