Yet another very diverse collection from CT's North-Northwest. Acoustic rock with a great mix of vocals. A touch of 90s alternative combined with ballads, blues and folk/rock. Most reflective of what the band sounds like live, this North-Northwest album offers guitarist/lyricist/vocalist Frank McGoldrick the opportunity to 'spread his wings.' McGoldrick's performance is coupled with the terrific lead and harmony vocals of female accompanyists, Linda Kalfaian and Beverly Betters. Harmonica player Kurt Volk also offers his vocal on a McGoldrick original. The band's rhythm section, Tom Gloersen (bass) and Tom Donofri (drums), as well as keyboardist, Thad Terzo, all contribute in making this what the band feels is their best collection. Highlights of this album include 'Erica,' 'The Spectre of Catherine Hyde,' 'Still In Love,' 'Tricia's Song,' 'It Takes All Kinds' and the title track, 'Drive.'
