Here are three Music City veteran musicians who have pooled their creative energies and found their collective voice as a band. What happens when people like that decide to record a sincere project at 'The Cabin' with John Carter Cash producing? Good things of course! Throw in the fact that it's three women and you have something a little unusual and even more special. One listen to a Paint Sisters' Album of full-blooded rock-indie-blues based American Music and you realize these musicians mean business. The Paint Sisters play all the instruments on their album with help from veteran guitarist Richard Bell, (Delbert McClinton, Highway 101, Dave and Sugar). All the Paint Sisters are songwriters, some with their own solo CDs from other years. Liz Ficalora plays drums and sings. She arranges strings and produces. Melissa Sigler is an award-winning international artist, winning the New Orleans OFFBEAT magazine's 2001 Emerging Blues Artist Award; honorable mention in the 2002 John Lennon Songwriting Contest and winner of the regional Music City Blue's Society competition. Jill Sissel has recorded four solo CDs and has been nominated for BEST AMERICANA ALBUM by JPFolks in 1998, and a 2004 Finalist for BEST SINGER/SONGWRITER again by JPFOLKS. Honorable Mention in 2001 for the NSAI Songwriting Contest.
