Product Notes

The Paranoid Foundation: a collaborative music/multimedia project aiming to explore the darker elements of the human psyche. Paranoid 404 is the pseudonym of foundation member Crispin Lee. 'Anew Design' is his second solo album featuring uncompromising dark atmospherics and spoken word narration. An impressionistic urban soundtrack depicting a shadowy existence at the fringes of modern society. Anew Design for life. PSYCHOTROPIC ZONE REVIEW: Paranoid 404 is a pseudonym for Crispin Lee, and 'Anew Design' is his second solo album. In fact I can't find much stylistic difference between this and 'the Music of Chance' since this too is very peaceful, experimental and electronic ambient and has similar, hypnotic spoken words throughout. The sonic world is perhaps even a bit more minimal. There are about 35 minutes' worth of dark atmospherics, tiny murmur and relaxed psychedelic synthesizer/effect universes also on this album. I really like the both albums a lot, and I can recommend them for all those who desire psychedelic, deep and dark experiences. Santtu Laakso.
