Arizona's Patchwork Medic began in the spring of 2005 and is labeled by their fans as a band to watch in years to come. Due to consistency in Patchwork's live shows, they continue to gain an audience of all demographics. Their energy and catchy songs keeps the fans entertained and wanting more. From the start, Patchwork Medic began opening around the Southwest for national acts such as Anberlin, The Format, Sherwood, Daphne Loves Derbe, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, and others, gaining a great response from fans and the headlining acts. Patchwork Medic also recorded their first E.P. "Yes, Yes, Yes" in 2006 and released it for free at their shows. "That was a fun time for us" recalls singer Jonathan Johnson "we just wanted to get our name out....it seems from the very beginning we were so busy!" Patchwork Medic is well known as an original band. Although, their genre is an indie/pop/rock, they create a recognizable, original catchy sound. "We've always approached our music and live shows with light-heartedness." Says Jonathan Johnson. "We are a serious band who wants to do this full-time and we work hard for that goal, but we also don't want to loose the 'fun' quality. With that in mind, we sound like us. When people listen to our music or go to see us play, they're seeing Patchwork Medic, not a band that sounds like someone else. We don't want to try to sound like our influences or what is popular at the moment, or to spin off of what other bands are doing. We're always thinking 'what can we do better next show, or next album...how can we improve our sound?' Never 'what can we do to sound like this band?' Or 'we should do that cause this band does it.'" 2008 is looking promising for Patchwork Medic as they recently released nation-wide their debut full-length album "Picture Motion". As an independent release, it is already getting reviews and write-ups in local papers around Arizona. Patchwork Medic is still opening for many national bands around the Arizona region and continues to impress audiences with their live set.
