Product Notes

From 'East Cost Rocker Magazine' Pigeon?/Pigeon? 'What we have is rock with a little bit of a 'groove thing' going on. Lead vocalist Susan Wendelken has an absolute talent and carries each song with her strong, powerful, melodic voice. The pleasantly harmonic 'Giorgi,'and the loud, rocking yet soothing 'Maybe Next Time', are prime examples of this band's artistic ability as musicians. 'Lianna' is a track off their demo that embodies that '60's style, funkadelic sound with more of an edge. Get ready to move and groove because 'Colorblind' will force you to do just do that, and DAMN-those vocals!! Keep a close ear out for Pigeon? and their future shows!' -Jill Bussin From 'The Outlander' Vol. XX No.1722 'This cassette which was given to me by a friend in the business, lay upon my desk amidst the ruins for about 3 months. The thing that made me pick it up was it's title...PIGEON? Strange but it intrigued me. It turns out that this is some of the best stuff that I've heard from just about any band or artist. And aside from being virtually unknown especially in SOUTH FLORIDA, from what I understand these guys are unsigned. Hard to believe from the sound of their tape.' 'A brand new incredible sounding band whose songs will touch you one way or the other. Some will hit you hard, some will touch you softly, and the way that they arranged and the onslaught of thought which goes into lyric's can and may leave you wanting more as it caresses the soul. I loved it.' -Charly Romeo 'More Sugar Magazine' August 2006 I saw these guys in a Westchester club awhile ago and they blew me away because although the sound quality was not the best, they played their 1/2 hour set so well that I was compelled to buy a CD.The singer kicks ass and their songs are so well written that I wonder why they aren't playing bigger venues. I'm going to follow this band closely because they have the potential to 'break out' if they get a break. Hopefully I can help with that. Check them out sometime. Brian O'Rourke / Columnist Liberatore & Lain (aka; Pigeon?) haven't played around lately however, I did catch an "al Fresco" gig at a local bar recently (Pete's Saloon / Elmsford NY). They have re-developed their slightly harder style of song writing with a bit more subdued style. I thought they were not only great but very entertaining while being round one another. They are really funny and don't really care about using each other for the blunt of their jokes. It's almost as if they we're doing a comedy sit com.. I had a great time and F. Liberatore's rendition of "Tequila" as done in karaoke was hilarious. Check them out next time "A capella" These guys really enjoy simply performing. Angel Dooster / More Sugar magazine / 9/2007.
