Product Notes

Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Punchy Keaton is three-piece band featuring singer/guitarist Andy Plennert, bassist Nick Wright and drummer Andy Rauscher. With a decidedly unique punk rock sound these guys are ready to take the local scene by storm. Plennert and Wright are the founding members of the mid-nineties band Harlequin. While at the same time Rauscher was playing in bands like Agony, Free-Z and Johnny Crack-Eye. After a break from their respective bands and a few solo projects, Punchy Keaton got together in mid-2003. It was instant success. Having worked together in the past, Plennert and Wright fell right back into the comfortable working relationship they had in Harlequin. Neither of them know what they were in for when Rauscher came into the fold. When it was time to write these three gelled right from the start. After a few months of figuring out their sound, it was smooth sailing. Plennert's unique but simple wrighting style and lyrics fuled by bad relationships, personal demons, and the declining state of society make for some great punk rock.
