Quinzy, born in Winnipeg Dec. 14 2002, is a band. A music band. They play tightly constructed and melodic pop music, though sometimes, to the amusement of all, they get confused into thinking they play rock music. Even though they're all young adults, they've played lots of shows. Hundreds, probably! As if that's not enough, they've made an album with eleven (11) of their own premium compositions on it, and it's really great. It's called 'pleasebabypleasebabybabybabyplease', and they recorded it in Winnipeg with money that people gave them. Industry insiders have described the album as 'Weezer meets the Beatles, then goes out for drinks with Ben Folds Five and crashes at Wilco's place'. Howard Redekopp mixed it from Vancouver, and he's mixed a lot of good bands like the New Pornographers and Tegan and Sara. Joao Carvalho mastered it, and he's mastered a lot of good bands, like Hawksley Workman and Sarah Slean. And Jesse LeDoux did some drawings for the album, and he was nominated for a Grammy for The Shins 'Chutes Too Narrow! With 'pleasebabypleasebabybabybabyplease', Quinzy has constructed the golden catapult with which it shall hurl itself into the upper troposphere.
