Named after the ancient Buddhist temple in Singapore, Saiyuji concludes the CD trilogy begun with Disorient & The Reality Temples. It's nine tracks were meticulously recorded over a period of a year and a half. The foundations for each piece were created on vintage analog synthesizers. Later, as the melodies formed in the ether, the music was layered using contemporary sensibilities and dusted with a hint of worldbeat rhythms. The result is a work of subtle mystery bridging the gap between old and new school artistry. A labor of love and devotion, Saiyuji represents Richard Bone's most sophisticated work to date and also debuts his growing experimentation with ambient video. Two of which, 'By Any Other Name' & 'Improbable Earth,' are included on the CD.
