Rose Dahlquist K-5 Music Teacher Worship Leader Small Group Leader For fifteen years I have been writing and waiting and waiting and writing, occasionally singing these songs for family and friends. In the summer of 2004, I planned a solo visit to Mt. St. Helens. Yet, the day I chose to go, it was cloudy. I could not even see the mountain. I asked the Lord, 'Do you really want me to go?' His immediate reply was, 'If you don't go, you won't go.' In that instant I knew He wasn't talking about the mountain, but my heart's desire to do music. I then proceeded up the mountain. I was the only car on the highway, the clouds showed no signs of parting and I was determined to not stop for anything. Then, halfway to the top, all the clouds disappeared. It was beautiful. I learned to trust and obey Him, even when I didn't know how it would turn out. Many of my songs have been inspired by such experiences and conversations with the Lord. He is marvelous and so creative. I praise Him endlessly. I have no idea where God wants this journey to go. It's His story and I want to tell it.
