"Sisters United" is performed by Scherrie, Lynda & Freddi/FLOS, a group of very talented ladies, two of which were some of the best vocalists ever in the Supremes. Written by Scherrie Payne, the final lead singer for Motown's top Divas, this is THE anthem for 2006, with a very timely lyric about women of a certain age who are a force to be reckoned with. The lead on this track is shared by all three ladies: Scherrie, Lynda Laurence (who started in Wonderlove with Stevie Wonder, was later a Supreme in the Jean Terrell era, and in 2000, along with Scherrie, joined Diana Ross on the "Return to Love" tour), and finally Freddi Poole, who has a Supreme legacy through her performances and recordings with Steve Wonder, Gladys Knight, Jean Terrell, Lisa Stansfield, Phyllis Hyman, and Patti Labelle. These great ladies debuted their new single at their 20th Anniversay Show and Tribute to the Supremes at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday, July 29th.
