Tim Hicks was born and raised in upper east Tennessee in a middle-class family. Tim began playing guitar and piano in his mid-teens and later picked up other instruments such as bass, mandolin, and viola. He began writing songs and started experimenting with multitrack recording a few years later. Tim devoted his life to Christ in 1994 and then immediatley began writing christian songs and working with his church\'s worship ministry. His musical influences span over two decades from artists such as The Eagles, Richard Marx, and Restless Heart, to modern Christian artists such as Michael W Smith, Bebo Norman, and Chris Tomlin. He also has many Bluegrass and country influences like Vince Gill, Alison Krauss and Union Station, and Colin Raye. He has been involved in church worship more than a decade as a musician and worship leader. He now lives with his wife, Janie, who is also an experienced vocalist/guitarist, near historic Joneborough,TN. This is Tim\'s debut Contemporary Christian CD and he plays every instrument on this CD exept the electric guitar solo on \'Back to You\'.
