Product Notes
Mr. Magoo upturns the age-old tale of Aladdin with his antics in this animated Arabian tale. Abdul Azziz Magoo, a bumbling, nearsighted Baghdad lamp dealer, wants his carefree nephew Aladdin to settle down. But Aladdin has other plans until he meets Princess Yasminda, not knowing the princess is already pledged to marry the Wicked Wazir, a man who craves an absolute power that can only be obtained with a magic lamp buried deep inside a cave filled with exotic treasures. When Aladdin and his uncle unwittingly get their hands on the magic lamp and the gregarious genie within, the boy's chances improve considerably. But there is still that miserable, evil Wicked Wazir to contend with! Featuring the vocal talents of the unmistakable Jim Backus (Rebel Without a Cause, TV's Gilligan's Island) as Magoo, Kathryn Grant (The 7th Voyage of Sinbad), Dwayne Hickman (TV's the Many Loves of Dobie Gillis) and Hans Conried (The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T.).
