This compact noir places it's protagonist in a race against time, a man framed for a murder he cannot easily disprove. Dan Duryea plays the role with a mix of cynicism and desperation, moving through a London that feels both familiar and strangely hostile. The film leans into the conventions of the genre while maintaining a steady sense of momentum. At just over eighty minutes, it wastes little time, delivering a tight and effective suspense story.
