Product Notes
Limited 180gm colored vinyl LP pressing. Chuck Berry embodied originality, being the first true gyrating guitar god, and the earliest rock and roll lyricist whose words were worthy of a poet's pedigree. Originally released in 1957, Berry's first Chess LP, After School Session features an assortment of tunes recorded between 1956 and 1957 including the three superior instrumentals "Deep Feeling," "Roly Poly" and "Berry Pickin," alongside the moody "Wee Wee Hours," the proto-doo-wop "Together (We'll Always Be)" and the rock 'n' roll anthem "School Days." The classic Chicago production fully demonstrates The Father of Rock 'n' Roll's professional versatility as well as his unbridled pop showmanship.
