The film follows the exploits of Corporal Rains (Dyer) as he is inducted into Fleming's newly formed 30 Commando, where he and the rest of the platoon are put through intensive training under the watchful eye of Sean Bean's Major Jones. Their skills and endurance are pushed to the limit as they prepare for their first highly classified and dangerous mission: To parachute into occupied Norway and capture vital radar technology that is key to winning the war. But the plan goes spectacularly wrong, and the commandos find themselves in a pitched battle to reach the border as vicious Nazi Commander Teichman (Eric Madsen) and the Germans' deadly 5th Alpine Division tighten the noose.
