WWII was the first conflict in which combat was waged by air, as well as by ground and sea. It was in this new theatre of war that neither side could afford to fail. Disc Two: The Yanks Are Coming: '42-'45: With America's entry into the war, the arrival of the 8th US Army Air Force in England began to turn the tide. Disc Three: Japan: Triumph & Defeat: '41-'45: The initial Japanese success at Pearl Harbor was answered with a relentless fight back by the Allies across the Pacific.
