Product Notes
Eclecticity" is a riddle set to music, a collection of compositions that unfold like coded messages, waiting to be deciphered. Every track is a doorway-some lead to familiar places, others to uncharted territory.
At the center of it all is Albare, shaping melodies that slip between the cracks of expectation, harmonies that shift like changing light. Two ensembles bring this vision to life-The Jazz Alchemists, with the searing brass of Mat Jodrell and Phil Noy, and The Harmonix Experience, where Jake Mason's Hammond and Paul Williamson's tenor sax evoke something timeless and elusive. Phil Rex and Salva Persico provide the pulse, a steady force with a heartbeat of it's own, while guest drummer Felix Bloxsom moves like a ghost through the rhythm, unpredictable yet inevitable. And then there's the unexpected-Joe Chindamo's accordion on *New Dawn,* like a message from another world, whispering something half-remembered, half-imagined. Recorded in Melbourne between November and December 2024, and mastered by Leon Zervos at Studio 301, this album isn't just about what's played-it's about what's left unsaid. "Eclecticity" is also a testament to Melbourne's thriving jazz scene, a city that has quietly become one of the world's most dynamic hubs for the genre. The musicians on this album don't just play jazz-they live it, breathe it, push it forward. The mystery unravels at Bird's Basement, or through the AlbareMusicGroup channel on YouTube. Lean in. Listen closer. The answers are in the music.Credits
