Alexander Hulshoff has selected famous Schubert pieces, among them a number of songs including An Die Musik, Die Forelle and Ständchen, as well as the popular Arpeggione Sonata, D821 and adapted them for cello and piano for his debut OehmsClassics CD. A former student of cellist Lynn Harrell, Mr. Hulshoff has established himself in recent years as a leading international cellist, his interpretations notable for their expressiveness and unmistakable warm and lyrical tone. His accompanist, Andreas Frolich, is an internationally recognized orchestral and chamber ensemble pianist.
