2013 Sony Pictures Classics release featuring Dennis Quaid as an ambitious modern-day farmer challenged by changes of his business and his rebellious son (Zac Efron). The lyrical music was written by Dickon Hinchliffe, known for his music to "Winter's Bone." the score beautifully captures the tension between characters and successfully blends the vastness of the landscape with everyday life intimacy. Hinchliffe is a founder member of the British band Tindersticks. He began scoring films with the acclaimed French director Claire Denis.
