It is of certain significance to think of the fact that Martin Jacobsen was born and grew up in Copenhagen which has been arguably the European capital of Jazz. Martin basically taught himself Jazz at the age of 19 in this richly Jazz; orientated city. He later moved to Paris, another European hot-spot of Jazz.
