Product Notes
A unique character study of the relationship between a charismatic young man Driss, and the bitter owner of a run-down beach cafe, Fouad. The very independent Driss lives in his car and supports himself by driving tourists around Morocco, or selling fish. One day, he and his girlfriend stumble on a run-down cafe. Almost immediately, he is drawn to the owner, Fouad, an intriguing recluse with a weakness for women. Despite Fouad's indifference, Driss works to build a friendship with the older man. But Fouad turns out to be the worse friend Driss could have, and before he knows it, Driss finds himself caught up in a swirl of rumors and compromising situations. Director Benoet Graffin adroitly captures the steamy, romantic atmosphere of author Bowle's Morocco. Stars include Ouassini Embarek, winner for Best Actor, Sochi International Film Festival, and Jaques Nolot, Wild Reeds and Scene of the Crime.
