Medieval culture is blended with modern technology in this post-apocalyptic version of the 8th-century poem. Christopher Lambert stars as mysterious wanderer Beowulf, who arrives at a distant fortress called "the Outpost" and soon finds he may be the only hope against the deadly nocturnal creature Grendel and it's nightly assaults.
