Product Notes
Prizefighter Dan Williams needs to beat his next opponent Bill Hogan to get a title match with the champ. But crooks are betting heavily on Hogan and to insure his victory, they abduct Dan's young nephew Johnny and force Dan to take a dive in the fifth round. Dan knows the crooks mean business but he's never done a dishonorable thing in his life, so it's a tough decision. Family members and even Johnny's young friends scour the city for the missing boy while Dan and Hogan go fist to fist in the stadium ring. Big Pal star William Russell was declared an invalid as a teenage but fought back and developed his body, and at 22 won the world's amateur boxing championship. He again pulled on the gloves for BIG PAL's finale, a scene hugely enhanced by the presence of hundreds of cheering extras.
